1) But we know it’s not spirits, don’t we. Because, this is what we’ve done to make the wand rap out its weird message.
2) The two candlesticks are important!  A fine black thread is tied to candle (A), and runs through an eyelet on candle (B).  Thence, the thread runs off-stage to a hidden assistant, who pulls it gently when necessary. The wand rests on edge of tray and its end ties on the thread. Thread runs through eyelet on candle (B). eylet on table and a third eylet on floor to hidden assistant in wings.
3) If you wish to dispense with a hidden assistant, tie the other end of the thread to a chair and press body gently against it.

Big Wand From Tiny Purse!

Carry your 18" wand in a 3" purse

Here's The Secret! ...
1) Cut a 1½ " hole in end of the purse. Close purse and put it in your right coat pocket.
2) Take purse from pocket with right hand, and show it casually without opening it or revealing hole in end.  Hold left hand ready to receive purse and take it from right hand.
3) Wand is hidden in left sleeve. A rubber band around wrist holds end of wand in place till needed.
	4) Right hand opens purse and right forefinger and thumb goes through hole to draw wand out of sleeve and through the purse – S L O W L Y!

Magic Secret #4 Presto It's Gone!

This handkerchief vanish was at favourite trick of the great master of magic, David Devant
	A silk handkerchief -- a sheet of newspaper and a wand provide the mystery.
	1) The silk is pushed into the newspaper, which has been rolled into a cone. The cone is then closed at the top.
2) When a spectator opens the paper-cone, the silk has vanished!
The wand is a hollow one, containing a thin steel rod, which is secretly pulled out when wand is first pushed into cone. The rod is left in cone. Handkerchief is draped over rod, and hollow want is placed over rod and pushed down. Silk is forced into the hollow wand, and rod is left in position and taken out of cone inside the wand.

Magic Secret #5 The Ghostly Pencil

When you take this pencil out of your pocket and drop it into a bottle, it climbs slowly out again.
A long hair or very fine thread attached to the pocket where you carry the pencil. The other end is secured to the blunt end of the pencil with a small dab of beeswax. When you press your hand at X and tighten the thread (in mesmerizing the pencil!), the pencil is slowly drawn up and out of the bottle.
When you hand the pencil to your astonished friends, don’t forget to scrape off the dab of beeswax and then detach the thread!

Magic Secret #6 The Power of Money

You would’nt believe that a $1 note was strong enough to break a pencil, would you? But it is – if you do it like this!
	1) Have somebody hold a pencil firmly like this.
2) Hold the $1 note like this.  Raise and lower it slowly over the pencil twice. Third stroke is a fast one and it breaks the pencil – because
	3) Your forefingers rapidly straighten out behind the note as it descends. It is the finger that breaks the pencil, not the note.
